Hey!
I must say I'm very impressed how Eleanor Coerr wrote the story 'Sadako and the thousand paper cranes'. It was really simple yet descriptive as it is.
And good news, I finished reading the book in just half a day.
In case you might not know what this storybook has to say, it's about this little young girl name Sadako who was only 12 when she pass because of leukemia. She was affected by the radiation of the atom bomb which was dropped by the US onto Hiroshima.
Her best friend told her of folding 1000 paper cranes(origami) will make a person well. So Sadako believed and made 600++ of paper cranes before she slept. Unfortunately, she never woke up again.
Such a loss was her to her family and friends. She was a fast runner in school. In memorial of her, a statue(of Sadako and her golden paper crane) was built at Hiroshima Peace Park to remember those children who died because of the atom bomb.
